{"id":1005,"date":"2010-03-30T12:26:18","date_gmt":"2010-03-30T17:26:18","guid":{"rendered":"\/h\/?p=1005"},"modified":"2010-04-06T13:49:12","modified_gmt":"2010-04-06T18:49:12","slug":"elena-fajt-zora-stancic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gallerymc.org\/h\/elena-fajt-zora-stancic\/","title":{"rendered":"Elena Fajt &#038; Zora Stan\u010di\u010d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ELENA FAJT &amp; ZORA STAN\u010cI\u010c<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>BEST BEFORE \/ EXPERIENCE OF THE WASTED<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two artists from Slovenia,\u00a0<strong>Zora Stan\u010di\u010d<\/strong> (printmaker) and\u00a0<strong>Elena Fajt<\/strong> (mixed media), work with already used and\/or wasted \u00a0motives, materials, and contents to give them new meanings. Through their installaions, prints and objects visitors will face and question their own values, norms and prejudices. The title of the show is actually a metaphor of contemporary society and its &#8220;best before&#8221; date concept. In this way, contemporary art also has more and more of its own &#8220;best before&#8221; date. What happens when it expires? Then, how can the wasted be experienced?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zora Stan<\/strong><strong>\u010d<\/strong><strong>i<\/strong><strong>\u010d<\/strong>, is a visual artist whose medium is print and printmaking in which she combines her intimate stories and comments on contemporary life and art. \u00a0Her works are among the permanent collections in the Albertina, Vienna, the Fond National D\u2019Art Contemporain in Paris, the Gallery of Modern Art in Ljubljana and the JaneVoorhees Zimmerli Art Museum in New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA.
