Prof. Danica Stojanova is a prominent Macedonian pianist with a long standing career both in Macedonia and around the world. Throughout her schooling, she worked with international academies for music and collaborated with renowned pianists such as: Snezana Panovska, Jokut Mihailovik, Zheni Zaharieva, Jacques Rouvier, Aquiles Delle Vigne, Liudmila Roschina, Tatiana Gaydamovich, Sachiko Kodama, Heribert Koch etc. which makes her one of the most important piano and chamber music professors in Macedonia. She works at the music and ballet school center \u201cIlija Nikolovski-Luj\u201d and throughout the years her students have accomplished many awards and acknowledgements in Macedonia and abroad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has been a jury in a number of international music contests and has led many piano master classes in Macedonia, Kosovo,Turkey and Malaysia. She has also taught specialized classes in international music festivals such as \u201cThe Chopin Festival\u201d in Kuala Lumpur and Belgrade, \u201cEpta\u201d and the International Balkan Conference in Skopje etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Danica Stojanova has performed as a soloist with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vidin Philharmonic Orchestra in Bulgaria. She has also performed on the stages of Ukraine, Turkey, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Bulgaria, Chezch Republic, Malaysia, USA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has received the following awards: \u201cBest Piano Collaborator\u201d on the 22nd edition of the International competition \u201cThe Music and the People\u201d in Sofija, Bulgaria (2004); \u201cSuccessful Work in the Music Educational Field\u201d awarded by the music and ballet educators in Macedonia (2007);\u201cExcellent Achievement in Education\u201d in Bulgaria (2009); \u201cAchievement of Long Standing Educational Work in Macedonia\u201d (2011); the award for artistic achievement \u201cSt. 15 Tiveriopol Martyrs\u201d given by the city of Strumica, Macedonia (2016); \u201cGeorgi Bozikov\u201d for best performance of Macedonian music awarded by the Union of Music Composers (2020).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Danica Stojanova is a member of the Union of Artists and the Union of Music Composers in Macedonia. She has been an honorary member of the Foundation \u201cTomislav Zografski\u201d since 2016. In 2019, she was given the special acknowledgement by the Foundation for her dedication and international promotion of Tomislav Zografski\u2019s works. She is also a member of the international piano duo-association in Tokyo, Japan. At 2020 and 2021she has been the music selector for the \u201cOhrid Summer Festival\u201d. Prof. Danica Stojanova is the author of the book \u201cFr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Chopin – the Poet of the Piano\u201d. She is a principal of the music and ballet school center Ilija Nikolovski Luj in Skopje, North Macedonia from 2021-2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2024 she is working as a professor of piano and chamber music in DMBUC Ilija Nikolovski Luj in Skopje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDuring this concert, Danica\u2019s artistic expression was built upon a thorough embodiment of the vital elements of every composition. The performance of the compositions particularly consisted of subtle elaboration of details and phrasing, distinguishing dynamic gradations, emphasized dynamic contrasts, and phons. In addition, the tempos, the dynamic, and the agogic were a pure expression of the individual musical pulse. In doing this, the pianist Danica Stojanova performed a transparent artistic effect.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA powerful piano recital in an intimate gallery in New York. The following was the performance of the neo-classic Suite by Zografski. The distinctive tonic emphasis accompanied by eccentric atonic accents provided a refreshing experience. A majestic composition performed majestically! Clear, harmonious, and beautiful, the performance was inspired by the Classicism style and adorned with modernistic elements. It was a rare gem in an ocean of recitals, especially due to the poetic, sincere, and emotional power of the performer and the direct visceral impact on the listener.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
