Dear MC Friends,
\nWe’ve been rolling for three month now and MCMonday is better every time.
\nThe\u00a0performances\u00a0are awesome, and the mood i don’t even want to talk about.

\nI’m thrilled to welcome Roger Bonair-Agard <http:\/\/www.blueflowerarts.com\/roger-bonair-agard<\/a>> \u00a0as our feature artist this month.
\nIf you don’t know his work, you have no idea what you have been missing.
\nHe’s also the person who directly inspired me to start this series.
\nHe’s visiting from Chicago for just a few days, please make sure to get a taste of his amazing work.
\nAnd of course, of many others that choose to perform.

\n<\/span>The series \u00a0encourages interdisciplinary and collaborative work and is designed to offer artists an opportunity to showcase their work, garner feedback, and network with other artists and presenters in a supportive, informal setting. Featured will be works requiring minimal technical and production demand. Presentations of various duration in all stages of progress are encouraged as this series will not only highlight finished works but will also serve as a development laboratory.
\nEveryone is welcome to participate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Everyone means – all arts (keeping in mind that ‘art’ is a flexible category)\u00a0disciplines: you may want to read an excerpt form your book, try out a\u00a0monologue you’re auditioning with, perform your mime or magic trick, dance your solo, play your flute, or seat your fire…
\nEvenings will be structured in 3 parts:<\/p>\n

– 7 – 8:30p – the\u00a0open\u00a0mic\u00a0part
\n– 8:45 \u2013 9:30p – the + part – featured artist
\n– 9:30 – 10p – the meet and mingle part<\/p>\n

Here is how it works:<\/p>\n

For the\u00a0open\u00a0mic\u00a0part: you show up at 7, sign up with your host (most likely\u00a0myself), you get your spot between 7:30 \u2013 8:30, you go when your host (most likely myself) calls your name.
\nYou need to be tech-light (we will provide one\u00a0mic\u00a0and a sound system) and your act cannot be longer then 15 minutes.
\nYou bring your own audience – we will post the main info on the events and\u00a0our featured artists on our calendar, but we cannot provide adequate PR for each of you.<\/p>\n

For the + \u00a0part – featured artist: you email me in advance. if your work is\u00a0selected, we will program you in one of the upcoming months.<\/p>\n

If you’re just being an audience, there is a $5 charge. No discounts, no\u00a0comps, no exceptions. $5 is not more then a small contribution towards the\u00a0production that is making it happen for you every month.<\/p>\n

Beer and wine will be available for purchase, no outside drink will be\u00a0allowed in the Gallery.<\/p>\n
