{"id":3853,"date":"2015-02-24T12:36:00","date_gmt":"2015-02-24T17:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"\/h\/?p=3853"},"modified":"2015-02-24T13:13:49","modified_gmt":"2015-02-24T18:13:49","slug":"circuit-bridges-tri-bridge-crossings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gallerymc.org\/h\/circuit-bridges-tri-bridge-crossings\/","title":{"rendered":"Circuit Bridges: Tri-Bridge Crossings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Circuit Bridges: Tri-Bridge Crossings<br \/>\nFebruary 26, 2015<br \/>\nThursday at 7:30pm<\/p>\n<p>Circuit Bridges is featuring Foundation for Emerging Technologies and Arts<br \/>\n(FETA) and Ensemble of Irreproducible Outcomes (Irritable Hedgehog Records)<br \/>\nin a special concert featuring electroacoustic music on February 26 at<br \/>\nGallery MC, 549 W 52nd St, New York, New York.<\/p>\n<p>FETA<\/p>\n<p>The first half of the program, &#8220;Circuit Bridges and FETA present: FETA &amp;<br \/>\nFriends&#8221;, features solos, duos, and group pieces performed by the<br \/>\nco-founders of Foundation for Emerging Technologies and Arts (FETA), a<br \/>\nMiami-based organization with the mission of nurturing and promoting new art<br \/>\nforms: Juraj Kojs and Paula Matthusen and the friends Aurie Hsu, Natacha<br \/>\nDiels, Adrian Knight and Luke Dubois. The performance will include sounds of<br \/>\nreel-to-reel tape machines, vintage synthesizers, iPhones and iPads,<br \/>\nSlovakian bass pipe fujara, flute and video as well as a belly dance<br \/>\nperformance based on the interactive relationship between movement and<br \/>\nmusic.<\/p>\n<p>Foundation for Emerging Technologies and Arts (FETA), an organization<br \/>\nestablished to cultivate composition, performance, production, and research<br \/>\nof emerging electronic music, art and multimedia forms.<\/p>\n<p>FETA seeks to expand our understanding of the world around us through<br \/>\nexploration and promotion of novel expressions that fuse arts with<br \/>\ntechnologies. Current FETA&#8217;s programs include: 12 Nights of Electronic Music<br \/>\nand Art, SofIA: Sonorities of Interactive Acoustics, Cyberinstruments via<br \/>\nPhysical Modeling Acoustica 21<\/p>\n<p>www.fetafoundation.org<\/p>\n<p>The second half of the program, &#8220;Circuit Bridges and Irritable Hedgehog<br \/>\nRecords Present: Ensemble of Irreproducible Outcomes&#8221;, features a trio of<br \/>\ncomposer\/performers devoted to indeterminate music with David D. McIntire,<br \/>\nRyan Oldham, and Brian Padavic. In addition to leading the ensemble,<br \/>\nMcIntire is founder of Irritable Hedgehog, a label specializing in minimal<br \/>\nand electroacoustic repertoire, whose releases have been widely praised for<br \/>\ntheir excellence and historical importance<\/p>\n<p>EIO, or Ensemble of Irreproducible Outcomes, may seem to be a strange name<br \/>\nfor a trio, but it nicely captures the group&#8217;s mission. David D.
