GIACOMO BALDELLI<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Critically noted as \u201cone of the most complete performers of the new generation\u201d, NYC-based guitarist<\/em><\/p>\n

Giacomo Baldelli is focused on exploring works of the 20th century, but also on developing a new 21st<\/em><\/p>\n

century repertoire for guitar. Most recently, he has been interested in expanding the contemporary repertoire<\/em><\/p>\n

for electric guitar.<\/em><\/p>\n

He is an accomplished soloist and chamber musician, and has performed throughout Europe (Italy,<\/em><\/p>\n

Germany, France, Czech Republic, Poland), as well as the United States. He is a currently a member of the<\/em><\/p>\n

Key-String Duo (with pianist Laura Barger), Avantgarde Duo (with Gianni Biocotino), String_Lab (with<\/em><\/p>\n

violinist Marco Fusi), and has worked extensively with respected musicians Giovanni Mareggini, flute (Italy)<\/em><\/p>\n

and Elitza Demirova, violin (Bulgaria).<\/em><\/p>\n

From 2006 to 2013 he was a member of Icarus Ensemble, with whom he appeared frequently as a soloist.<\/em><\/p>\n

During that period they were featured in renowned festivals such as the Huddersfield Contemporary Music<\/em><\/p>\n

Festival (Hudderfield, England), Biennale Musica (Venice, Italy), REC\/APERTO (Reggio Emilia, Italy),<\/em><\/p>\n

Sincronie (Milan, Italy), and Gaida Festival (Vilnius, Lithuania).<\/em><\/p>\n

Mr. Baldelli earned both his Bachelors and Masters degrees (summa cum laude) at Istituto Superiore di<\/em><\/p>\n

Studi Musicali \u201cA. Peri\u201d in Reggio Emilia (Italy) where he studied with Claudio Piastra. He also completed<\/em><\/p>\n

additional studies with Vladimir Mikulka and Carlos Bonell.<\/em><\/p>\n

His critically-acclaimed debut CD \u201cChitarra Italiana del XXI\u00b0 Secolo\u201d (Bottega Discantica- 2010) includes the<\/em><\/p>\n

first Italian Recording of the masterpiece for electric guitar \u201cTrash TV Trance\u201d by Fausto Romitelli.<\/em><\/p>\n

OOOPStudio (Alessandro Grisendi and Marco Noviello- il_Bramante-) started its artistic activity in Reggio<\/em><\/p>\n

Emilia \u2013 Italy \u2013 in 2011. As video artists, the duo’s interests lie not in the documentation of reality, but in<\/em><\/p>\n

exploring the sensory and artistic possibilities inherent to digital technology. OOOPStudio often mixes<\/em><\/p>\n

traditional artistic media such as painting, photography, sculpture, and architecture with an unusual approach<\/em><\/p>\n

to cinematic techniques. The result is a sort of false realism that gives the audience the chance to<\/em><\/p>\n

experience a new perspective on the world.<\/em><\/p>\n

OOOPStudio has worked in theatrical production, music, exhibitions, art festivals.<\/em><\/p>\n

Their most recent works are: \u201cPinocchio Nero\u201d (video exhibition), premiered at Galerie Eulenspiegel<\/em><\/p>\n

Basel (Switzerland) in September 2012; \u201cCanto per Orfeo\u201d (video scenography commissioned by<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAterballetto\u201d Dance Company), Teatro R. Valli, Reggio Emilia (Italy);\u201dAlice\u201d (video scenography for Gauthier<\/em><\/p>\n

Dance Company, premiered at Theaterhaus Stuttgart (Germany) , June 2014.<\/em><\/p>\n

The duo started working with the Italian guitarist Giacomo Baldelli in 2012, producing \u201cBad TV Trash\u201d, videoscenography<\/em><\/p>\n

for the performance of the electric guitar piece \u201cTrash TV Trance\u201d by Fausto Romitelli.<\/em><\/p>\n

Bad TV Trash has been performed at Spazio Icarus – Reggio Emilia (Italy), \u201cUniversity of Leeds International<\/em><\/p>\n

Concert Series\u201d- Leeds (England), Marcovaldo Art Bookstore – Paris (France), Spectrum – New York City<\/em><\/p>\n
