{"id":5158,"date":"2016-05-21T16:18:12","date_gmt":"2016-05-21T21:18:12","guid":{"rendered":"\/h\/?p=5158"},"modified":"2016-05-21T16:22:16","modified_gmt":"2016-05-21T21:22:16","slug":"make-music-harlem-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gallerymc.org\/h\/make-music-harlem-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Make Music Harlem 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/makemusicharlem.mydagsite.com\">http:\/\/makemusicharlem.mydagsite.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Make Music Harlem is a lot of things: it is a music marathon, a multimedia event, a community festival, a block party, a neighborhood welcoming of the summer.<\/p>\n<p>Please support Make Music Harlem, a free, public, outdoors event to take place on June 21st 2016, 4-8PM on W119th street, between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and St. Nicholas Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2015 by Milica Paranosic, the Juilliard trained composer and music faculty, and the founder of Paracademia Center, Inc., Make Music Harlem is part of the city-wide Make Music New York.<\/p>\n<p>Milica&#8217;s well-known tendency to connect diverse performance styles and audiences, finds a full expression in an event such as Make Music Harlem, where jazz, world, classical, hip-hop, beat-boxing, reggae and R&amp;B all come together on a stage shared by established musicians, students and children. Musical and dance performances, public art, refreshments, local businesses demos are just a few confirmed elements of this very exciting event.<br \/>\nOur co-host for the event is our long-time friend, a well-known Harlem restaurant Billie&#8217;s Black.
