Reception for the artist on Wednesday November 4th<\/sup> 2009, 6 – 9 pm<\/h4>\n
The latest project of Ismet Ramicevic, titled “The Weaving of Information”, is a continuation of the series of his previous projects “Labyrinth I, II, and III”.\u00a0 This project also anticipates the closure and the end of his several years long mega-informatic concept.<\/div>\n
Same as the earlier projects, this one also contains multiple references and possibilities for multiple interpretations.\u00a0 It is divided into two parts.\u00a0 The first part is manually accomplished, spacially arranged, dominant while the second part is digitally conceived.\u00a0 By way of computer animation the artist shows the different transformations, variations and visual sensations that are regenerated from the ambient part of the concept.\u00a0 In most of the digital variants it is almost impossible to visually recognize the immediate relation between with the informatic concept.\u00a0 The rhythmic repetition and the total redesigning of the textual tissue does not refer only to a painting decorative strategy but also directs to different designers matrices that belong to the domain of the textile weaving and knitting, to the mosaic and stucco decoration, to the arabesque and to the metaphor of the beehive.<\/div>\n
The conceptual strategy of the lucidly conceived texture of the recycled, endless games of the info-manipulations, the actual basis of practically all kind of social ideologies, were the foundations this artist has used to derive from the labyrinths of the deliberate senselessness a closure of the meaning of his extraordinarily creative artistic ideology.<\/div>\n
