\nEach artist in Found Wanting chooses to examine the details and fragments of particular moments or situations. The resulting exhibition showcases a common interest among artists who create work that deals with the quieter details or parts of story in a way that slows down, comments on, or alters the often convoluted bigger picture. Some of the work is created through careful selection where all distracting elements are removed while other works eliminate the context altogether. All of the works condense a complex concept to its most crucial elements. The resulting work is provocative in a manner that flirts with the viewer and tempts us to look deeper; it leaves us found wanting more.
\nCurated by Brynna K. Tucker, Artist and Independent Curator, this exhibition came together with the help of the Pratt Artist\u2019s League (PAL) and was developed through a series of on campus studio visits. The 25 artists in Found Wanting are currently MFA Candidates at Pratt institute. For more information about the show, send an email to pal@pratt.edu.<\/p>\n
