UNDER SKIN<\/p>\n

In this project entitled \u201cUnder Skin\u201d, Ana Ivanovska puts the focus on herself, her inner nature and various mental states and situations, referring to emotions and feelings in the period of quarantine during the Covid-19. <\/span><\/p>\n

The influence by the whole pandemic situation reflects in her photography, having the elements of the masks and gloves multiplied, using an abstract manner to emphasize the fear and the limited freedom that appeared at the beginning of the expansion of the virus. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cUnder Skin\u201d project, on the other hand, has an optimistic view, inviting us to take a break from our everyday lives, to develop our sense of satisfaction and fulfillment throughout finding our own inner peace through love, connection and togetherness.<\/p>\n

Ana Ivanovska (Skopje, 1982) graduated at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, Macedonia at the painting department (2006). In 2007 she finishes the Pedagogical department and in 2011 the Postgraduate studies, painting department at the same faculty. <\/span><\/p>\n

Ana is a member of Association of Artists of Macedonia since 2006 and one of the founders of the art group Art I.N.S.T.I.T.U.T. (2009 \u2013 2011) and the female group \u201cMOMI\u201d (2012). <\/span><\/p>\n

Her work has been presented in various solo and over 150 group exhibitions in Macedonia and outside the country. She won the Young Visual Artist Annual Award, \u201cDenes\u201d by the Contemporary Art Center (2008), the \u201cAward for Sculpture\u201d awarded by the Association of Artists of Macedonia (2017), the \u201cAward for New Media\u201d awarded by the Association of Artists of Macedonia and was representative of Macedonia in the international competition, the VII Francophone Games in Nice, France (2013).<\/p>\n

She took part of several residencies: Skopje, R.N. Macedonia, CreArt (2020); Papradishte, R.N. Macedonia (2019); Tirana and Korca, Albania (2019); Berlin, Germany (2018); Paris, France (2014); <\/b>Vienna, Austria (2011); <\/b>New York City (2009).<\/p>\n\n
