MINE

NEW YORK – Parsons The New School for Design proudly presents an exhibition of work by the 13 graduating artists from its BFA Fine Arts program, on view at MC Gallery from May 9th –May 19th. An opening reception will be held Wednesday, May 9th, from 6 – 8pm.

“MINE: that or those belonging to me; the possessive of I”.
This word, and the title of the exhibition, epitomizes the individuality and diversity of these students’ works. Each has established their own art making voice, their own uniqueness of thinking and image making. The exhibition highlights the complexity of the unique voice in today’s art world by showing how these artists think about and produce their work. From the painted surface and the hand made, to the digital and the readymade, from the self to the social and political, the students in “Mine” offer compelling new voices to the world of art, and to the world at large.
