Ninoslav Dimov graduated in the class of prof. Stojan Dimov at the Faculty of Music in Skopje in 2004, and received his master’s degree in 2006. After graduating in Skopje, he continues his studies in Berlin, Germany at the Universität der Kunste, in the class of prof. Detlef Bensmann. In Berlin 2006 he successfully completes his undergraduate studies in saxophone and continues with the “Konzertexamen” specialization until 2009. He is the winner of several prizes in national and international competitions, and a regular participant in prestigious saxophone seminars in Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, France, Germany… In addition to numerous recitals, Ninoslav has recorded several solo performances with the Macedonian Philharmonic, the Kosovo Philharmonic, “Lietzeorchester” – Berlin, Germany. Since the beginning of his studies, he has been the leader of the Saxophone Quartet “Dimov”, with which he performed in Dubrovnik, Sarajevo, Belgrade, the festivals “Skopsko Leto”, “Ohridsko Leto”, etc. In 2006 he plays several concerts with the Berliner Saxophon Quartett, a world-renowned ensemble of this kind. Since 2007 he is a member and co-founder of the “Bensmann Saxophone Quartett”, with which he has performed several times in Europe, the USA and China. Since 2017, after many years of personal involvement and as an idea creator, he has been organizing the International Clarinet and Saxophone Festival “SaxClar” in Skopje, where he has the role of artistic director. Currently, Ninoslav Dimov is a full time professor of saxophone and chamber music at Faculty of Music – Skopje, a member of the Big Band Orchestra at MRT, Bagi Big Band and a saxophonist on-call for the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Maja Popović was born in Skopje, where she began her musical education at the age of 5, at the MBUC “Ilija Nikolovski – Luj”, in the class of prof. S.A.Čadikovska, and completed her secondary music education in the classes of prof. S.A.Čadikovska and prof. M.Pisinova. She continued her education at the Faculty of Music Arts in Skopje, where she graduated in 2003 with the highest grades in the piano department, in the class of prof. E.Elezović. She completed her master studies in 2011 at the Faculty of Music in the class of Prof. E.Elezović. During her studies, she actively participated in master classes with renowned pianists and pedagogues: Boris Romanov, Jokut Mihajlović, Arbo Valdma, Zheni Zaharieva, M. Molova… She participated in numerous concerts at the Faculty of Music within the framework of “Muzika Viva”, Days of Macedonian Music. As a soloist and chamber musician, she performs in Skopje – “Skopje Summer”, Bitola, Tetovo, Stip, Prilep – “City of Culture”, “Prilep Summer”, Kumanovo, Gevgelija – “Gevgelija Summer”, as well as in Niš, Belgrade, Sofia, Prizren, Priština… She is the winner of several awards – State Music Competition `95, (second prize) `96, (second prize), International Competition “Music and the Country” – Sofia `97 (Special Prize)…. Today, Maja Popović works as a professor of piano and chamber music at the “Ilija Nikolovski – Luj” DMBUC – Skopje (where she has received numerous recognitions and awards with her students), and is a professional associate – accompanist in the saxophone class at the Faculty of Music Arts in Skopje. From 2018 to 2019, she served as president of the Board of the Macedonian Philharmonic, and until 2024, as member of it. Also, since 2013, she has been a member of the organizing board of the International Competition of Young Pianists – Gevgelija. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed on many occasions throughout the country and abroad. Since 2012, she has collaborated with saxophonist Ninoslav Dimov, with whom they have had a number of recitals, the most significant of which are the concert at “Ohrid Summer”, a concert within the framework of the “Autumn Music Festivities”, a concert at the “Golden Lyre” festival (2020, 2023), a concert within the framework of the international festival “SaxClar”, a concert in Sofia, Bulgaria, a concert within the framework of an international competition in Požarevac, Serbia, a concert in Zagreb, Croatia, a concert in Istanbul, Turkey…
