From Birth to Life, Works on Paper by Jovana Todoroska

Saturday, September 20th from 7 pm: Exhibition of Works on Paper by Jovana Todoroska together with Concert by Mila Janevska and Dejan Milevski

All of us, as living beings, are different. Small, big, old, young, happy, unhappy—we are all different, but together we form a beautiful whole. Even before we are born, many things are predetermined: our name, surname, religion, society, relatives, and so on. But there are many things we must create, achieve, and enjoy on our own.

The exhibition “From Birth to Life” is a composition of different, yet in some ways similar works, made up of many colors that represent the various aspects of life, and many lines that mark every path we’ve taken—paths we started but paused, paths we started and then turned back from, or paths that, somewhere in the distance, led us to our desired goal.

Life, as something that is given to us only once and only to us, I stand by the belief that each individual should direct their own life, naturally with consultations, but the final decision should be ours and ours alone. That is why this exhibition, these works, are left to speak for themselves, and each viewer is invited to recognize themselves within them.

The exhibition “From Birth to Life” consists of 20 prints made using the linoleum print technique. They are divided into three phases: 12 of them are sized 50×70 cm, 6 are 25×35 cm, and 2 are 35×50 cm.
