An Evening of Macedonian Evergreens

Sunday, September 27th from 6 pm: Featuring Andrijana Janevska, Gordan Spasovski, Viktor Filipovski and Kiril Tufekchievski with special guest Chade McCullough

Andrijana Janevska Quartet has been performing together for many years. Their repertoire features original songs, Macedonian pop and evergreen songs, as well as traditional Macedonian folk songs — all presented in jazz arrangements.

Andrijana Janevska is a singer, violinist, songwriter and university professor who has been active on the music scene for more than 30 years. She holds a PhD in Macedonian folklore and has an extensive performing, recording and teaching career.

Kiril Tufekchievski is a double bassist and university professor, active on the Macedonian jazz scene through numerous ensembles, concerts and collaborative projects.

Gordan Spasovski is a jazz pianist, composer and arranger who graduated summa cum laude from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. He is active in numerous original and collaborative jazz projects.

Viktor Filipovski is a jazz drummer and educator who has performed at festivals and concert venues across Europe and Asia. In 2017, he received the “Golden Oryx” award for Best Young Macedonian Jazz Musician.
