Cardinals is a live film performance where image and sound are created in real time. Miniature sets are activated with elements like rain, wind, and fog, evoking how landscapes are shaped and altered by the forces of climate change.
Visual artist Franck Lesbros brings his idiosyncratic approach to filmmaking by crafting and manipulating miniature sets, which are projected live as dynamic visual compositions. These unfold in synch with a live, improvised soundscape by DIA, whose distinctive use of musical instruments creates a compelling interplay with the live projections. Together, they merge the visual language of film with the immediacy of performance, offering an immersive audiovisual experience.
