Zoran Sotirov is a prominent opera singer born in 1970 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. He graduates at the St. Cyril and Methodius University in the Faculty of Music Art in Skopje in the class of Professor Blagoja Nikolovski. Afterwards he continues studying in Belgrade, Serbia with Biserka Cvejic and in Zagreb, Croatia with Stoyan Stoyanov Ganchev. In 1999 he débuts in the role of Rodolfo in ” La Boheme ” at the May Opera Evenings Festival. His  repertoire also comprises the roles of: Edgardo  (Lucia di Lammermoor), Cavaradossi (Tosca), Turidu (Cavaleria Rusticana), Don Jose (Carmen), Alfredo Germont (La Traviata), Ismail (Nabucco), Pinkerton (Madame Butterfly) Duca di Mantova (Rigoletto), Radames (Aida), Alvaro (La forza del destino), Faust (Faust)…

 

Darko Marinovski was born in Skopje in 1974. He graduated in piano performance at the Faculty of Music Art- Skopje in 1997 in the class of Prof. Boris Romanov and in 2000 optained his Master’s Degree in the class of Prof. Jasminka Cakar.

During the period of 1997-2007 he worked as a piano professor at the National Music and Ballet School “Ilija Nikolovski- Luj” in Skopje. From 2009 he acts as Lecturer and Dean of the Faculty For Applied Music at the University for Audiovisual arts ESRA Paris-Skopje-New York. In 2012 he is was awarded the title Associate professor at the same Faculty.

Marinovski collaborates with some of the most renowned opera singers from Macedonia: the tenor Zoran Sotirov, basses Igor Durlovski, Aleksandar Stefanovski and Vladimir Sazdovski, and mostly with the baritone Boris Trajanov, having many concerts in Macedonia, as well as in Rome, Paris, Washington, etc. He also performes as a soloist at different festivals, gala concerts and events.

Other notable performances by Marinovski are:

  • Performance at the Macedonian government in honor of the visit by the President of the European Commision Romano Prodi 2003.
  • a performance tour in 2009 through Macedonia with the renowned macedonian basses Igor Durlovski, Aleksandar Stefanoski and Vladimir Sazdovski.
  • performance in Washington D.C. in 2011 on Thanksgiving day at the Ronald Regan Building with Boris Trajanov.
  • performance with Boris Trajanov at the closing ceremony of the Struga Poetry Evenings in 2011
  • performance of the International congress of pulmologes 2012 in Ohrid.
  • performance of the Gala concert in the Opera house in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia 2013.
  • colaboration with the renowned baritone Boris Trajanov with whom he has performed in concerts in Rome, at the UNESCO hall in Paris and at the International Summit Dialogue Between Civilizations in Ohrid
